The first stitch: Teens learn sewing at the Napa County Library

From Napa Valley Register

“Is sewing a lost art? Not at the Napa County Library. The first sewing class at the library was offered on Friday and the five pre-teen and teenage girls who attended couldn’t have been happier.Although the class was quiet and the students were timid at first, the atmosphere quickly changed as instructor and Library associate Fumiyo Whistler guided them through the mechanics of the sewing machine and had them practice stitching.”
