“Immigrant Angelenos who want to become American citizens can get help through the Los Angeles Public Library under a newly expanded program announced by Mayor Eric Garcetti.CitizenshipWorks 2.0 is part of Garcetti’s Step Forward LA initiative to encourage the city’s more than 350,000 legal permanent resident immigrants to become U.S. citizens.The new pilot program includes both web based tools and in-person step-by-step guidance through the naturalization application process for those who don’t have access to a computer or the Internet, according the mayor’s announcement.”
