Contra Costa: City of Brentwood needs funding plan for library

from the Santa Cruz Sentinel

“When the wise men on the Brentwood City Council initiated the process to start up the Brentwood Library Foundation they admitted the difficulty in finding money for the library, and accepted the possibility of seeking outside funding. They also admitted that something needs to be done about the current library facility, a repurposed business office at 104 Oak St. By paying for a Needs Assessment in 2012 and a conceptual design in 2013, the city took the brave first steps to get a new library built, recognizing that something needs to be done now, not later.”
