Riverside: Budget proposal increases spending — and revenues

from the Press-Enterprise

“Riverside’s 2015-16 budget proposal not only increases spending in nearly every department, it also projects revenue increases that would cover that spending … Several residents said the library system needs more money for staff and new books, and advocated moving ahead with main library renovations. Councilman Mike Gardner asked that $100,000 be added to search for a site for a new downtown library and draw up cost estimates for the new facility, as compared with the existing $22 million plan to renovate the 1960s library.”
