from the Napa Valley Register

” The effects of $1 million in city budget cuts started to become apparent when the St. Helena Public Library board of trustees was briefed Monday on about $270,000 in proposed cuts to the library’s budget. The library board endorsed key elements of a proposal by Library Director Jennifer Baker that would save her full-time position while cutting other expenses, taking an additional $100,000 from the library’s Tweed Trust, and reallocating funds from the library’s nonprofit Friends and Foundation.”
